Roach and McDaniel

Roach and McDaniel Grain Co., known informally as “the mill,” stood beside the Katy tracks at the site of the present DART station. Here local corn was shucked, shelled and shipped in bulk to customers such as the fledgling Frito Co. Shown looking S ca. 1952 is Earl ‘Jack’ McDaniel, Jr., who succeeded his father in the partnership with H. L. Roach.
