Horse-and-buggy Garland materializes for this photographer as he shoots NE from the second floor of the Garland school building at present Ninth and Ave. A  toward the town square ca. ’06.  Poles and wires suggest that while some residents enjoyed telephones, city living also involved kitchen gardens, privies and sheds for buggies and livestock.
