Haskell Roach and Virgina Copeland

Early railroad tracks provided dry walking paths for private talks.  Shown in the early 1920s, probably using Santa Fe tracks near his family’s home on W. Avenue D, is budding Garland businessman Haskell Roach.  He appears to be offering an earnest proposal to Baylor schoolmate Virginia Copeland of Lyndale, Texas.  Both born on December 17th, two years apart, the couple married in 1925.
