The J. S. Wyrick store operated between 1907 and 1937 on the west side of Jupiter Rd. between Miller and Kingsley Rds. This stretch of Jupiter had once been part of the Greenville-Dallas Pike, and Mr. Wyrick promoted the surrounding unincorporated community of farmers as Wyrickville on the Pike.
