Downtown

A Trades Day crowd, captured on this 1913 photo postcard apparently anticipated some public entertainment spectacle as they gathered on the square’s W side. The camera looks N on a graveled Sixth St. past a bank and dry goods store that pre-dated the Plaza Theatre. Other than a lumber yard behind that building, the image recorded little development toward today’s Heritage Crossing.
